Mike had his 32nd birthday yesterday. He opened gifts, and then we went to Olive Garden while Jake and Jess watched the kids. Afterward we had cake and ice cream at our house with Kathy & Jed's family, and Jake and Jess.
Mike's parents sent him the set of church photos for FHE and stuff.
They sent it before President Monson was included, so we will have to add his picture. When Mike held President Hinkley's picture up, Korben said, "Grandpa!". I guess we need to work on the prophets a little more. :D
The gift I got for Mike was a headache because I procrastinated getting it and you can only get it from Australia. I wanted to get him one of these pouches ever since Kellie and Shawn visited in July. Mike loved the one that Shawn had, so I knew he would love having his own. When I looked for them online, they said it would ship between 5 & 12 days. It happened to be exactly 12 days before Mike's b-day, so I hoped it would make it in time. And it did...barely. It came in the mail around 2pm yesterday, WHEW! It's a good thing, because I didn't have a back-up gift.
This is his reaction when he opened it...I'd say he was excited.
I will scrapbook all of the other pictures I took, but here is one of Mike and I. We thought we should get a picture commemorating the day that he turned 32 and I was 23 because the number palindrome won't happen again until he turns 43.

OK - what caught my attention is how great you look Kate, what a hottie! The pictures of you at the pumpkin patch and with Mike . . Oooh La La!
Your hair is so long and beautiful and you look so dang skinny. And you said you were putting on weight from stress eating. Man, I wish that's what I looked like putting on weight.
