One of Korben's favorite foods of all time is cantaloupe. A cantaloupe will only last one day in our home and most often it only lasts one meal. Korben can shovel down an entire half of cantaloupe in about 4 minutes. One morning, I thought I would be clever and only cut half of our cantaloupe, thinking it would last us a bit longer...
Later that day, I was chatting with Mike via the internet and Korben was quietly reading books (or so I thought), when he came running in to see me. I noticed that his face and shirt were completely soaked and asked him why he was all wet. He nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and said, "cantaloupe". Knowing that he had finished off the cut up portion that morning, I jumped up to go see if he had really been eating an entire piece of cantaloupe, and sure enough...

It cracked me up that he had taken matters into his own hands, and once again my "clever thinking" was not so clever after all.
As cute as this is, I think I'll go back to cutting up the whole cantaloupe at the same time.

Well, it seems that I have my own little "not sleepy" toddler running around these days. He refuses to take his naps and ends up playing in his room instead. This often results in tantrums later in the day, and on some days, a very awkwardly placed sleepyhead ...
