I have had quite a few of you ask how I was able to get a urine sample from Korben (because of an earlier post). I thought a professional description would be the best way to explain the process. I've collected two samples from Korben now, but it wasn't till I read the description that I found it really funny. So here you go:
Bag collection
* you attach a plastic bag, which has a sticky strip, over your baby’s genital area after cleaning very well with soap and water
* you can put a nappy on, over the bag
* urine collects in the bag when your baby wees
* sometimes it can take several attempts to get some wee
* transfer the urine sample from the bag into the sterile container (from your doctor)
* on the container write your child’s first name, surname, date of birth, and the date and time you collected the sample
* it is important that the urine sample is fresh when tested so deliver it to your laboratory within two hours or put it in the fridge (not the freezer) until you can deliver it; don’t leave the bag on your baby overnight

I hope that cleared some things up for you. :D

Don't leave on your child overnight... thats funny.
Sounds just as inconvenient as getting your own urine sample.
I know consider myself formally educated.
you are getting to do some pretty exciting things, aren't you? hope you are having a great day.
wow and I thought going in a cup was a challange.
One more joy of motherhood :)
. . when the baby wees
I couldn't help but giggle. This is a great "professional description".
Though I did wonder if there is a different shaped bag for a girl?
Hee! Did he wee in his nappy?
That made me giggle.
lol... I think Mom said it best... another joy of motherhood. I agree with Kimber though... I also giggled at your professional wording. You have really educated us all on this topic. Thank you!
