In all of the evaluations that we have had, a common concern has been brought up about Korben...he doesn't make eye contact. It is really hard to get him to look at us when we talk to him, and even harder to get him to look at the camera. Thank heavens for digital cameras that allow me to snap pictures until I get one of him looking at me.
In therapy they have been working on getting him to look people in the eye, but I hadn't really seen a big improvement until this week's session. After therapy, we came home and for some reason I pulled out the camera. Korben was so excited, ran in front of the camera, looked me straight in the eye and said, "CHEESE!" He allowed me to get about 5 good pictures of him, all the while looking right at the camera. So we are making improvement. YAY!!!
Hopefully there will be many more pictures like this in the future because he is so stinkin' cute!
Afternote: I made this post but didn't publish it for a few days. The next two posts have happened since then and show that he is continuing to look at the camera for me. Woot!

It's great that the therapy is showing progress. A smile like that with eye contact makes it all worth it. You are such a wonderful mom (and parents) to work with him so consistently.
I will just second Kimber's expression...soooo cute! It sounds like you do a lot of things at home to help him. You are an awesome Mom!
Congrats on all the hard work, it has been fun to spend time with him and see the progress in both the boys.
Hurray! We love improvement. You're cookie making and picture taking are admirable. He looks so grown up and very happy. Thats a good indication of a pleasant childhood. You're doing great with him, Kate. No worries in that area anyway.
