More Birthday Goodness

After Korben's friend party, we took a break and then celebrated with the family again that night. This party didn't go quite as smoothly due to a very tired 3 year old being the center of attention. We don't have a picture of him blowing out his candles because he blew them out before we had a chance to finish the birthday song. (We weren't ready for the action yet) So instead you get a picture of the cake (imagine an adorable little boy blowing out the candles)

Look at that stack of gifts! It took forever to open them because he insisted on having EVERY single piece of paper off of each gift before he would move to the next one.
I don't know how he had the patience for that. :)

Korben got a Thomas the Train Aquadoodle set that he loves. I also love it because since it only uses water, there is absolutely zero mess for me to clean up. YAY!

We got Korben a piano because he loves to make music and sing. He is so cute when he sings into the microphone (which I don't have a picture of, so this will have to do).

We also got Korben a whole box of hot wheels.
This is him and Mike playing with their home-made ramp for the cars.

Korben was so excited to play with his CG hats all during the week prior to his birthday party. On the day of, however, he refused to wear his hat...so we had Logan model it instead. Isn't he cute!?

The best thing about this birthday is that he is enjoying his gifts so much that he has totally forgotten about the tv. We have now gone over 1 week and he only watched one episode of sesame street. If you know Korben, this is HUGE! I am trying to eliminate television except for as a reward (a true reward - not the I'm feeling tired so will reward myself with quite time kind of reward). So far so good...we'll see how it pans out after the newness of the toys wears off.

Looks like you throw a great party. Wish I could have been there. I know you here this over and over but it is true...your boys are so cute. Just has James' birthday and it got me thinking about doing birthdays for Max...I admit I am excited to do birthday parties...I love themes.

I've been wondering what you've been up to lately. Looks like tons of fun. What a great day. I, too, am sad to miss the excitement and play. That's awesome that he loves his toys so much. I've been glad to have Landon and Sam close by to play with our toys since Brendan and Jeremy are too old for most of them and don't care anymore.
