Michael Phelps -8 Golds
If you haven't been watching the journey of Michael Phelps this year, you have missed out.
Tonight he won his eigth gold medal of the 2008 olympics, 7 of the eight are also world records. His total medal count from the two olympics he has competed in is
16 medals, 14 Golds!!
He is without a doubt, the greatest olympian of all time.

The best race of all 8 was the 100m butterfly with an unbelievable finish. It is so unbelievable you'll want to check out the frame by frame finish so you can see it for yourself.
It has been so much fun to follow his story and watch all of his races. Tonight Mike and I were on our feet yelling at the tv. I like having an athlete that kids can really loook up to. I love how his first thing to do after a race is find his mom. I hope my boys adore me as much as he adores his mother.

Its nice to know we were not the only ones yelling at the tv.
I couldn't stand and scream at the TV because the kids were asleep right next to me, but my heart was jumping up and down! I'm so proud of him and his accomplishments. I saw he and his mom interviewed together, and she gave him a cute kiss on the cheek. He speaks so highly of her. I, too, hope my boys with think I'm somewhat of a good mom!
