Logan always has lots of energy, but a few Saturdays ago was one of those days when I was counting down the minutes till bedtime. Then I remembered a talk given by President Monson where he said something to the effect of "we will miss the fingerprints when they are gone...and to find joy in the journey". I tried to take the message to heart so decided to chill out, take some pics and enjoy Logan's "fingerprints".

isn't it nice to be brought back to reality and realize how quickly they grow up and how quickly we will miss them and yearn again to have their company and messes in our home! thanks for the reminder!
You are much better than I am!
My sarcastic thought: (cause I know you're dying to hear it :) missing fingerprints is one thing (like on the windows and mirrors, or even the fingerprint memory of singing and playing and silliness), missing the gasp that escaped my lips every time I saw something new that Erika was climbing on or writing on . . . not so much. It has been years now and I still don't miss it and haven't had a child like that since to which I am grateful because my stress level is high enough without that added to it.
My kind, follow the prophet thought: Kudos to you for being such a thoughtful, loving mom! Logan is darn lucky and blessed to have you and to have that adorable grin to help him get away with all of it. Having spent a little time with Logan a couple of months ago, I realize that he is a Joy for the Journey!
My repentant thought: I need to be more like Kate!
Bless your heart, Kate, I needed to read that today. Sometimes the journey is hard, and those cute little faces keep us sane when we're pulling out our hair, ya know? That scribbled-on door would fit right in here at our house. I feel your pain -- and your joy!
Everyone commented on my last post about me taking my camera everywhere. And I do take it to take pictures of events or outside activities. But before this post it would not have occurred to me to take a picture of the crazy antics. I agree with Kimber, I want to be more like you.
Kate I love this! After reading this, I've found myself on a couple occasions doing the same thing. I stop, take a breath, and enjoy the craziness- it will go by too fast! Thanks for a much needed reminder!
I'll have to remember that one. He is so adorable with that smile. How do you resist him?
Aw, it's a good thing you took pictures of his messes. I always forget, as I'm too busy thinking about the mess I now have to clean.
I swear I've read your blogs before, but didn't leave anything behind on the comments so I apologize for that! I loved this one with the pic of Logan in the fridge! PRICELESS! :)
