Easter...Or The Lack Thereof

We were so excited to take Korben to his first Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. First the primary decorated their Easter baskets. Then they lined up to go outside for the hunt. Unfortunately, as they were walking out, Korben threw up in his freshly colored Easter basket making him miss the hunt. We were able to grab some eggs for him to search for in the foyer, so he didn't miss out entirely I guess. After cleaning him up we thought he might want to stay for the rest of the activities because he was acting just fine, but he ended up falling asleep instead. So instead of the cute Easter egg hunt pictures I wanted to post, I only have him decorating his basket (that we had to throw out anyway).

I also wanted to post the cute cupcakes that they had for the kids. Korben wasn't interested in eating it after his puke episode, but I took one for cuteness factor anyway.

He also got a gift package that he opened later with lots of goodies, so the day wasn't completely sad.

Today on Easter I was really bummed because our ward didn't even talk about the Resurrection, or anything having to do with Easter. It was a regular sacrament meeting about Joseph Smith, a regular Sunday School about genealogy, and a regular Relief Society about personal revelation. The choir sang one Easter medley and that was the extent of our ward's Easter Sunday. I can't complain about the whole day though because the boys were both really good which was nice since I was there with them alone.

The Easter weekend might have been salvaged had we been able to attend Kathy and Jed's Easter feast but, unfortunately, Josh has pink eye (for the 4th time this winter). As good as the food sounded, it didn't sound appealing enough to chance the kids getting pink eye. So my Easter dinner consisted of a chicken quesadilla and salad, oh and a chocolate egg.

I hope all of your Easter weekends went a little better than ours. HAPPY EASTER!

Hello Dolly's.
A little graphic now that I think about it.

You lay on your back with your hands under your behind for balance. Than you have your legs extended about six inches off the ground then you just seperate your legs forming a V and then back to center.

Good motivation. I'm afraid I'm gonna miss Jared's Graduation but such is life.

My Drive is simple. Impress the ladies! (thats right, got me a new fling!)

I would love to be your personal trainer...it's always easier to torture your own body when you are making someone else torture theirs!

I'm sorry Easter wasn't great for you. Dragon asked if we wanted to do anything and I said "there's no kids around for an easter egg hunt and we'll go to church and talk about the resurrection - what else is there?"

After church we just sat around and hung out all afternoon. We actually had both of our phones on silent so missed a phone call from his mom inviting us to dinner and we missed the call from Mom telling about Kimber having the baby.

I'd rather have that than a kid throwing up though - maybe next year will be better.

Aw man, that's lousy luck. I hope the K-man's feeling better now. That is a darling cupcake! I suppose all things considered, throwing up in one's easter basket is better than throwing up on the church carpet. It is the most attractive barf bucket in history!

Kind of a low key Easter for you guys. I hope Korben is feeling better and it was just a fluke. Sound like you guys have been struggling with sickness for a while.

Our Easter was awesome, sorry to brag :D
