Missing Mikey

As most of you know already, Mike just started his new job. We are really excited to be done with Terminix and to be moving on. After originally planning on moving for the job, we feel really blessed that, after all is said and done, we get to stay in Vancouver. However, until the branch gets up and running here, Mike will be commuting to Denver, CO to set up that office as well. This time he is only gone for a week, other times it might be longer. Although we miss him, we know that this is temporary and that it is
the best thing for our family.

I was looking at our pictures last night, and came across this one that I took a few days ago. I was feeling especially lonely having Mikey gone and it immediately cheered me up. I am so grateful for such a silly, loving, hard-working, and wonderful husband. He takes care of me, is a great Daddy and constantly makes us laugh...
what more could a girl ask for?

We love you Mikecito/Daddy!

What? I had no idea! I swear I must walk around completely oblivious most of the time. I knew you were hoping for the job, and that's the last I heard. So congratulations!!!! Sorry he's going to be gone on and off, I know that's not fun. Oh gosh, I hope he'll be around when we're there! I'd be sad to miss him. We're excited to visit! We'll have to get all the deets while we're there.

Okay, totally off-subject, but how do you get rid of wasp nests that are up under the edge of my roof on the second story? They are really freaking me out. Did I mention that I am so happy you get to stay in Vancouver? For totally selfish reasons of course ;)

I didn't know he found a new job. Congrats. I am glad you will be staying here. We are moving out of the ward but not far. Just down to St John and 44th. So we can still totally hang out...not like we really ever do anyway...but we need to! by the way I love this picture of Mike!

That cracked me up so hard! He used to always look at me like that when I'd ask a question, remember? He taught Trenton how to do it, so now I get it from him, and it still cracks me up. What a legacy for Mike to have:)

I didn't know he found a new job- congratulations. I hope for your sake that he doesn't have to be gone long. That could be tough to live with. The one good thing about it is you will appreciate him so much more when he's home! I know that's how I am whenever Grant goes away. :)

Hang in there Katie. I know it's hard but like I tell me kids, We can do hard things. (Got that from Celia Garth)

For some reason I feel like I'm just seeing Shawn doing the same silly kind of thing. They're kind of alike don't you think?

I have thought of calling you so many times to chat while he was away. I'm such a bad sister.

I'm wondering how it went after the first time of him being gone and home again. How did you survive?
